ABOUT LABORATORIOS CLINICO COLON
Laboratorios Clínico Colón are located in the southeastern area in the city of Yabucoa, PR. Laboratorios Cólón was established in 1968 by Mrs. Carmen N. Colón and acquired by Yaniré Castro and Mr Luis A. Rivera in 1995. Laboratorios Clínico Colón #2 was acquired in 1994. At present, we are offering services in 2 establishments. Laboratorio Colón is located at Luis Muñoz Rivera Street in downtown Yabucoa. Laboratorio Colón #2 serves in the outskirts, near Yabucoa's CDT in Saturnino Rodriguez street. Both of them provide enough parking spaces for our patients.
The primary objective of our enterpris is to fulfill the needs of clinical laboratory services in Yabucoa and surrounding towns in the south eastern area of Puerto Rico.
Our mission is to offer high-quality clinical laboratory services with functional and flexible infrastructure as well as innovative techniques.
Our laboratories are in compliance with the Government of Puerto Rico, Department of Health Standards and United States Federal Laws - (CMS - Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services regulations: " Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments). We comply with all Occupational Service and Health Administration (OSHA) Safety regulations and local government agencies as well. Protecting patient's privacy and security of their health information is always a high priority. Laboratorios Colón are committed to ensure the security and privacy of our patients' information and we totally comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) policy and guidance.
In order to ensure the highest quality standards throughout all phases, we have Quality Control and Quality Assessment programs with written policies and procedures and continuous monitoring mechanisms. Our total Quality approach assesses and, when indicated, corrects problems.
To support the analytical procedures and the total quality concepts, we use the most reliable clinical laboratory equipment available in the market and state of the art information technology system. Therefore, we are preparded to offer the most accurate and reliable laboratory reports to our patients.
